Warm Mahjongg lessons from beginner to advanced, in-person or online.
I started playing Mahjongg when I was about 30, learning the game with friends. Since hardly anyone I knew played, I quickly became the one convincing friends to join in! My mother even had two Mahj sets that belonged to my grandparents sent from New York to Michigan, and I played with those for a while before eventually building a collection of my own accessories.
For years, Friday nights meant Mahjongg with friends, and some of my favorite memories are of playing by the pool. I got involved in tournaments early on and still enjoy competing in two tournaments each month. This October, I’ll be heading out on my second Mahjongg cruise—yes, we actually play on the boat!
These days, I play at least once a week, but what I enjoy most is teaching the game and sharing the fun, friendship, and connection that make Mahjongg so special.
